I can't even begin to describe how great everyone at this business was. We couldn't have picked a better place. When you lose a loved one, you experience a traumatic moment. These people walk you through step by step and they are so so kind. I'll never forget the compassion of all the people I met.
At a part of the park near Mercer University they have an event called 2nd Sunday! It's pretty fun! Kind of like a block party.
My husband passed away on 4-8-16 and I made a very big mistake but using Macon Memorial. The funeral director Radon , isn't the nicest person to deal with. In the beginning she was but changed and on a telephone call was very rude to my daughter. Her helping someone that just lost a love one is not good when she gets upset. First of all, don't tell them when making arrangements, how much insurance you have, because she will go for the large amount without explaining you the package prices. Believe me since them I have done some checking. My husband's funeral price started out at $13,500 but after complains from my family some was knocked off because we didn't ask for the buffet food. I have visited a funeral home close to my home and could have had just as good services for $5,000 and wouldn't have the pain of getting the money up to pay because she wouldn't give me but 30 days to pay. From my experience her adding this burden to me after loosing a love one sure didn't help. My husband's veterans marker wasn't ordered but after talking to Mr Snow he did give me a break and the slab for the marker and had it installed for me after trying to get it 4 months later. I also met someone later that was more than willing to help me and that was Mr. Lee Williams. He's the one that should be the funeral director there instead of her. I don't like being negative about someone but I wouldn't want someone else going through what I did. I will say my husband was handled very well and had a nice funeral. Just make sure you know who you are dealing with.
