I love this salon! They have been my go-to since moving to the area. The brand is fantastic and the work is always well done. Mya breathes this salon's brand and it shows. Scheduling an appointment online is easy and transparent.
I literally go to them once a week, which is more often than I should (for the sake of my pocket book) but I love the experience that they bring. Maya and Sade are the first group of stylists that have EVER been really empathetic about the treatment of my hair. The experience that they give you and the hair goals that they set for you are promising. These ladies really know how to treat natural hair. I can tell a HUGE difference in my curl pattern, texture and overall growth since using their products. I have seen women of many different nationalities come into the salon and they never bat an eye to tell someone they cannot help them. This is by far my favorite salon and that says a lot because I have been natural for 11 years. I hear women talk about the expense but you pay for what you get and I never regret what I pay. Every time I come back they have a smile on their faces, they greet you at the door, ask you how your hair has been. After your hair has been styled they show you how to sleep with it, how to manage it for upcoming days. I love these ladies and Ms. Debbie! My favorite!
Most customers want to feel like their business is appreciated. The vibe I got after speaking with the "Master Cosmetologist" was not very welcoming. I have no desire to schedule/reschedule with The Doux ever again. Not to mention the prices are absurd.
I have visited The Doux a few times for my daughter and just recently for myself. I LOVE the atmosphere and experience at The Doux each time I visit. I have not been to a salon in about 5 years because I haven't been impressed enough with one to visit regularly. I can see myself becoming a regular at The Doux. ☺
Doux Parlour has been my Salon for almost 3 years and I was highly satisfied.....up until my last appointment it was like I walked in from "Degenerate Low Class Salon" and ask them "what y'all do here" it was completely my fault in mis-scheduling my service and "boy" did I pay for it. It went wrong from there....I find it hilarious that the statement was made from the owner Maya "In the future speak with the Master Stylist before reporting a negative review" that's definitely not the case when she was so combative when I schedule an appt for a service she no longer did and become argumentative when I advised her I was just there less than 6 months ago and she being Maya cut and coil style my hair from a previous appointment where it was straighten by Sada..... I've only dealt with Maya for my cuts....i don't let anybody cut my hair I trusted her judgement and being that I was always indecisive about what I wanted Maya made great recommendation for me. I definitely don't knock the gift but there's
a way to discuss....just cancel my appt and move on.... making the statement "Idk why Y'ALL tryna play me" Y'all know i havent done this and that since and you just got all types of request"....Im baffled looking like who is Y'ALL...not interested in being anybody's trial and error...so the Stylist and Client code was broken when I'm no longer welcomed as a tenured client...told to schedule with Sada....that's not my perference not sure what I have to do to get on Client list but I guess I'll head up the road and spend my coins because price was never an issue I paid for consistency and a peace of mind......
