Would literally give zero stars if I could. Completely unprofessional. She was never prepared, and over the course of a year and a half, pretty much did nothing. Whenever a problem arose, her response would always be " I'll send an email", then she'd demand money. Most of the time you can not reach her, even after leaving voicemails, and emails, it takes almost a week to get back to you. She couldn't remember our names half the times, or the details of the case. Completely unorganized. After paying her thousands of dollars over the course she tried to get us to pay her twice, after she "couldn't find the receipts". Total scam artist who'll draw out the case to drain money out of you. She hung up on me for asking questions about the case because she was frustrated that she actually had to do some work, It honestly felt like she was working for the other side. She let the opposing lawyer dictate terms and times when things would happen, after promising to set the terms. We were so unhappy with her services that we are filing a grievance with the State Bar of Georgia for unethical practices. I would not recommend this attorney to my worst enemy.
Ms Skinner is the best !! Going through a divorce is tough as it is, she will make sure you get everything you deserve ! She will also find out what your soon to be ex is hiding and not being truthful about as well. She has the best interest of your child in custody cases. Very compassionate,& understanding and very professional attorney. I would have lost everything and ended up with nothing if it wasn't for her looking further into my case. I wouldn't have a future financially.
Ms. Skinner has been a great attorney! She helped me obtain custody of my 10 month old son from a dangerous environment with my soon to be ex wife. I'm glad to have her representing me through this tough time in my life!
Divorce is one of the most unfortunate ordeals an individual can go through. I was referred to Ms. Skinner by several people. She came highly recommended and immediately "lived up to those praises..." Throughout the entire proceeding, she was professional, empathetic, and extremely prepared every time we communicated. She did a terrific job of explaining my options to me (regarding child-support, visitation, etc.) and made certain I got everything I requested in the split. Money well spent!
Ms Skinner has started working on my case as of 2/13.. I filed for divorce and paid up front. During that time I put the divorce on hold hoping things with my husband would work things out, but unfortunately they did not. I contacted Ms Skinner again asking what I needed to do to to start the process again. She informed me the divorce was already paid for so all I needed to pay was the 250.00 refilling fee and picked it back up from there. She never charged me the retaining fee of 3000.00 again for her work already done before. She has been more than patient with me during this very emotional and very difficult time. My divorce is still going on due to child custody and moving issues but I am confident in what she's trying to do for me. She's very understanding and knows how her clients feel.
