Publix always has a variety of items that other stores don't carry. They have a really good meat and fresh seafood department. The bakery makes delicious special occasion cakes and the bakery department stocks gluten free items! Usually checkout is efficient and carry out assistance is available if needed. Large parking lot and good location with easy access to Interstate 75.
Publix is cleaner, offers a better selection of products, provides much higher quality products, and has the friendliest, as well as most helpful, staff of any supermarket in Macon.
The staff is friendly, the bakery items are excellent...i really enjoy the cupcakes and birthday cakes..and the crab salad is really good.
Better yet, in addition to some of their upscale offerings, you can get some great bargains there. I particularly like that you don't need to buy 2 of something to get the sale price when they offer BOGOs.
I went back to the store and there was an whole new altitude. Every one was working hard and doing a great job.
This really is the best place to shop in Macon.
While there is a Kroger less than 5 min. from my home, I regularly make the trek to this Publix because the shopping experience is far superior there.
Always clean, veggies fresh, helpful staff, and the best store bought pies since I moved back east.
I just love this place.
Also, if you experience a problem, they bend over backwards to try and make it right.
