I was a patient in 2013.. There I stayed for 7 months.. Visited Acute unit a couple times.. I was jumped by 9 girls in the classroom on my 1st day.. The one staff that was in the room that day, stepped out knowing what was fixing to happen.. My nose was broken, I had 2 black eyes, a concussion & 2 broken fingers.. The staff were very abusive! Physically & verbally! Some staff had their favorites who they let them do whatever they wanted.. The ones who got to do whatever they wanted were the girls on the unit who jumped everybody.. That same staff member drug me out of bed one night & held me down while two other girls repeatedly kicked me in my sides.. There was also a staff member that worked there who had sexual relations with some of the girls on my unit.. He was fired, eventually when the law found out & started investigating after a couple of the girls got out & told their parents.. One of the worst places I've EVER been!! I don't wish that hell on my worst enemy!! I'm 19 now & am doing pretty well for myself! Don't send your child to places like this! Nothing has changed!! I've been to several facilities like this one.. All terrible experiences!!
I cant speak for other people but im sad lakebridge behavioral health is closing because they worked to help so many people. I was admitted to the acute unit in aug 2015 and then somtime in 2016. The staff was always making sure everyone was safe and as comfortable as possible.I have been to other facilities like this in Georgia and none of them were any help to me or any good other than Lakebridge . The staff was also very professional .. If they were still open i would 100% recommend them to anyone seeking behavioral treatment in Georgia. Thank you lakebridge staff for all that you did while yall were open. I can say they saved atleast 1 life ❤
Not only that but was not given his bipolar/ anti psychotic for 2 of his 4 day stay.
Was admitted into the acute unit in November 2016, and I did not gain anything from being there. It was awful. I didn't speak to the therapists at all, they ignored my medicine prescription which affected me badly, and the facility itself was gross. If I could give 0 stars, I would. I think being here made me worse.
WE had a family session where he was supposed to talk about coping skills he had learned and could not answer a single one without the therapist basically answering for him.
If I could give zero stars I would. MY son was placed in acute care, we were never contacted by the doctor, the nurse and therapist did not relay our concerns to the doctor, our son is being sent home still unstable because their program is a joke.
He also went into there with severe poison oak and was not given medication. to treat it, so now it has spread and he will have to start the medication all over again due to their negligence.
Everyone that has reviewed this is stupid. That was the best facility by far. The staff are great and the therapist was great
