Great place for piping hot clay bowls with fresh vegetables and sautéed chicken, plus other kinds of bowls. Wonderful fresh rolls! Highly recommend if in the Macon, GA area.
The restaurant probably did a great job to satisfy all of its patrons and local customers, but it hardly pleased us with that Pho, I should say.
I've eaten here now twice and been pretty satisfied both times. The portions are very large and the food is prepared fresh and served piping hot. I ordered the beef brisket pho with shrimp and the chicken wings. There is absolutely no way o could have finished the "small" bowl of pho I ordered. It was so large it could have easily been split between two people. The brisket was not very well seasoned but the broth and shrimp were very flavorful. Noodles were cooked perfectly as we're the chicken wings. Service was friendly and nice but not overbearing. Good food, good service.
There were two servers only (one of them also did the cashier work), while the restaurant was quite busy with four to five tables came after us. The service was good, and the food came out pretty quick. The Pho that I had is Sliced Beef Pho, which I personally think is bad. The broth was not tasty at all as its taste was weak, light, and lack of savory. The flavor is, somehow, closed to made-from-paste. I was pretty sure that they used MSG, as well as I doubted if they followed the authentic recipe which requires a significant amount of beef bones, pork bones, and plenty of spices. My bowl sadly did not have cilantro and just a few of green onion. The portions, which includes the Pho itself and vegetable dish, were quite far less from generous. The price was average but the quality of the Pho that we had is not worth the price whatsoever.
During the road trip from Florida to Illinois, we planned to have dinner in Atlanta. But it turned out that the way was longer than we thought; thus, we stopped in this restaurant to refill the energy. We checked on Google Map and saw that this Vietnamese restaurant got mostly positive reviews and high ratings from customers in town. Besides, as it was raining and a bit chilly, a hot soup was always the best choice.
Me and my wife eat here at least once a month. The food is always great. We have tried several dishes and have never been disappointed. Pho is always great but their other options are just as good.
Oh wow I hate that I have not been here before! So tasty. Very nice people. Huge portions. Nice and quiet. Love it!!
