Amazing food & even better hospitality! We had the duck and the N.Y. Strip Au Voire. It was delicious! We just happened to be passing through Macon and we are so glad we stopped here. The owner and his wife are extremely kind and caring. Will be back.
I would add 10 stars if I could! The Back Burner served as an oasis for a friend and I travelling from Huntsville, AL down to Savannah. We were stuck in Atlanta traffic for 2 and a half hours and losing hope of ever reaching our destination. We decided to stop for a good meal to uplift our spirits and stumbled across this place. We were so impressed! Between the octopus appetizer, lamb entree and tasty Moscow mules.. we hated to get back in the car. The service was great, it was starting to get dark and was a bit rainy, but we wanted to sit outside to enjoy the fresh air. Despite being busy inside, our waitress did not skip a beat with our service. Great stop if you're driving through Macon

Hands down the most delicious meal we have ever eaten in middle Ga. Great atmosphere and wonderful service, kudos to the chef !!
The service was good and very informative but the food had no real love in it. We ordered the osso bucco(veal), I tried to eat it only because I was hungry(it was my husbands birthday and we looked forward to eating here all week) and when I told the manager I didn't like it he wouldn't take it off our bill. We also ordered the seafood trio with oysters, grouper and sausage it wasn't fresh, my husband and I love to try new things but we were not pleased at all. Oh the smoked salmon and duck breast appetizer was tasty but the over all meal too expensive without the taste and we don't mind paying for good food. Never again at the back burner!
