The hotel was great, especially for the price. The biggest issue we had was that the water pressure in the shower of our room was barely a trickle. Other than that, the room was clean, the bed was comfy, and the service was efficient.
Thankfully, it was for only one night.
Great experience! Bed was soft, room was clean and tv worked fine. Good breakfast too consisting of pastries, cerral, biscuits, warm sausage gravy, yogurt, waffles, bagels, toast and typical drinks for breakfast. Would stay at this chain again!
Wow. I don't know how people can rave about this hotel. It's unattractive, old and off the beaten path; elevator floor looks and feels like a sticky swamp.
When my husband and I are road tripping, and we have to make a stop for the night, Microtel is the first place we look for. The rooms my husband and I usually get (1 queen or king bed) are small, but the size of the room for just the two of us is not a problem at all when we just need to rest after driving for 12hours through multiple states. The lobby is bright, and welcoming. The room decor is modern, the bathroom was clean, the bed and pillows are comfortable. We only interacted with one staff member, and it was the front desk clerk, Angela. I spoke with her over the phone to book our room, and she was the one who welcomed us when we got there. Fast and easy check in, and she was very sweet and hospitable. If this trip is something we do again in the future, we'll make sure to stop here again. :)
Checked in 11/19/17 around 2:30pm. Front desk agent was very friendly and accommodating. I'm sorry I didn't her name but excellent customer service. Room was comfortable and clean, was right across the street from testing center. Breakfast was just what I needed before my exam. I will be scheduled my next exam next year and plan on booking this hotel again.
I was traveling alone, and anyone with half a brain knows not to place single women on the first floor. The woman at the desk had done so; when I requested a higher floor, she was displeased. When I arrived at the new room, it was right at the elevator AND the laundry room. Very noisy. I went back downstairs to request another change; more displeasure. She then gave me a tiny room, one bed, hardly room enough to get around the bed. Scraped-up paint; sink didn't drain; tub didn't drain; bathroom fan didn't work.
